I'm a lifetime subscriber to Bear Blog
I recently deleted my Bluesky account after watching the CEO's speedrun to enshittification and remembered how delighted I was to find Bear Blog last year. Given Herman's commitment to privacy and the tiny web (as well as my growing distaste for commercially owned social media platforms), I'm proud to announce that as of today, I am a lifetime subscriber to this project! I look forward to writing longform content again while I document my creative endeavors. Writing is something I used to really enjoy, even when my blog entries on Livejournal were seen by maybe 5 dedicated friends and followers.
I figured investing real money into this project would motivate me to take my writing more seriously. In addition, I've loved most of what I've seen pop up in the Discover feed. A community more interested in quiet introspection than "engagement" is what I need right now. Thank you to whomever comes across this post, and thank you Herman for creating such a pleasant blogging platform.
